Equipment Requirements for team members
For practices: footwear appropriate for grass fields, field hockey shin guards (not soccer shin guards – they are too small and will not be permitted by the officials), a mouth guard, and a stick. Goggles are not required until high school and are up to the discretion of players and parents at the middle school level. We recommend players have goggles so that they are accustomed to wearing them when it becomes mandatory in high school.
The following is a list of resources for field hockey equipment: Harrow
Sports (located in Denver), Dita Field Hockey (a major field hockey equipment company located in Colorado Springs), and Longstreth Field Hockey.
The Denver Field Hockey Club typically participates in 2 National travel tournaments a year. Additional national tournaments may be added. Travel teams are chosen from our High Performance members.
