MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL INTERSCHOLASTIC TEAM
Congratulations to Coach Meghan and her awesome players for a fantastic 2017 season! Looking forward to the 2018 season!
This Program is for 6th-8th graders who attend a middle school without a field hockey program. FALL 2018 registration will open in May.
Questions? Contact: Head Coach Meghan Marshall
The DFHC Middle School team competes against other middle school teams in the area during the fall season.
Requirements for team members:
Equipment for practices: Footwear appropriate for grass fields, field hockey shin guards (not soccer shin guards – they are too small and will not be permitted by the officials), a mouth guard, a stick. Goggles are not required until high school and are up to the discretion of players and parents at the middle school level. We recommend players have goggles so that they are accustomed to wearing them when it becomes mandatory in high school.
Equipment for games: Players will need everything listed for practices. They will be provided a reversible team jersey (which they can keep) and will need to have a black skort (you can find these at any sporting goods store), as well as a pair of black field hockey socks and a pair of white field hockey socks, without stripes.
The following is a list of resources for field hockey equipment: Harrow
Sports (located in Denver), Dita Field Hockey (a major field hockey equipment company located in Colorado Springs), and Longstreth Field Hockey.
